Better Dancer in 10 Minutes
Hey!
Is this you?
- Want to start dancing but not sure where and feel overwhelmed?
- Just starting out with dance classes in person or online?
- Spent hours on TikTok and YouTube trying to catch those moves but feel like you’ll never move like them?
Okay, cool - you’re in the right place 🫶🏼
Here’s the thing: You don’t need to be a professional dancer to look and feel amazing dancing.
Dancing is for everyone. Yes, it takes a bit of time and patience to master some skills, but it’s much closer than you think.
Ever watched those dance videos, thinking they've got some magical talent? Spoiler alert: They don't. Very few dancers are some magical unicorns that are better than you. Now maybe you're thinking: “But Lusha, you don’t get it. I really don’t have any rhythm or coordination.”
That’s fine. I was there too. Whether you're dancing in a studio or your living room, I've got some tips that will make the experience more fun and productive.
So, who am I?
Hey! I'm Lusha. A dancehall dancer, teacher, and choreographer with over 12 years of dancing and 5 years of teaching under my belt. Just like you, I’m constantly learning and I’m still a beginner in many ways.
I’ve learned in:
- Dance studios
- Streets
- Parties
- Dance groups
- Auditions
- Private classes
- Online tutorials
- ...and more!
Why am I telling you this? Because I've been in your shoes, and I've learned a thing or two along the way. I'm here to share those insights, so you can save yourself from unnecessary frustration and jump straight to enjoying your dance journey.
This is for you if:
You're about to start dancing or go back to it after a pause, no matter how serious (or not) you are about it.
Looking back, these three things have stopped my progress and enjoyment in dance classes:
- Low confidence
- No clear goals
- No training program
Dance classes, youtube tutorials, tiktok videos, online courses… It’s all over the place. There’s so much information — which is amazing. But that makes the learning process so much more confusing.
And that’s why I wrote this guide :)
If you’re just starting out it’s so easy to be lost, lose confidence and give up. This short guide with practical tips will help you get the best out of a dance class or a free youtube tutorial, whichever you choose.
What you're getting:
